Antique Meiji cotton rag rug -sashiko boro patchwork. 

This is an old cotton sashiko rug from a former family in Okuaizu, also known as 'the Beautiful District' for its picturesque Japanese villages.

Made of very old cloth, so it's heavy, and has a wonderful soft feel to it.
